Last October I wrote my last “current obsessions”. And of course in those months I have started loving new things. So I thought it was time to write an update!
I already liked country music before I went to Nashville. But after spending a few days there, and hearing it in bars and stores and on the streets, I grew to love that genre. Lately the Country Coffeehouse-playlist from Spotify has been on repeat. It is really relaxing and a perfect playlist for early mornings.
Yoga & Running
This year I’m going to try to make new goals every month. For February those goals were to run every Saturday and practice yoga three times a week. Running helps me to clear my head and to enjoy spending time outside, even when it’s cold. I practice yoga with the help of the 30-day Yoga Challenge from the DoYouYoga Youtube channel. For me the best time to do it is in the morning, that way you’ll feel refreshed and just like with running, it clears your head.
I have been very busy with work the past few weeks but I’m trying to do something that makes me happy every single day. Reading is one of those things. In January I read Emma by Jane Austen. It was tough, but watching Clueless (which is inspired by the book) helped me a lot with understanding the story. Another thing is watching Friends. A couple of times I tried to watch everything from the beginning but somehow I always failed after a few episodes. I just finished season one and I’m exited to start watching season two this weekend.
Such a cliché, I know. But I have to leave for work at 7.30 am, then it’s very nice to have a warm drink just after you woke up. Speaking of early mornings, I love them. Every day it’s a little bit less dark outside and a little less cold. Can’t wait for Spring to arrive!
Have a good weekend ♥
It’s getting colder every single day and I realized I am in love with fall. I love to see the leaves change, almost having to wear gloves on my way to work in the morning and rainy days. So aside from the week I was sick, the past month was a good one. Here are the obsessions I’ve developed while I woke up when it was still dark outside and drank a lot of tea.
I can’t put to words how much I love this show. The fashion, the drama, the parties, the cute couples… There isn’t one thing that I don’t like about Gossip Girl. I’m going to watch the final episode tonight, so excited!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
What is October without a delicious and overpriced drink from Starbucks? Call me basic, but the PSL really does taste like fall and everything else I mentioned above. #typicalwhitegirl.
I also mentioned these in my Sick Day Essentials post, but I love them so much that they had to be in my Current Obsessions. The ones I have are super soft and keep my feet warm during these colder days.
Love Halloween but hate horror movies?
Check and check. That’s why I was so happy when I stumbled upon this Buzzfeed article. The 17 movies listed there must be enough to get you in the Halloween-mood but they won’t keep you up all night. Perfect for easily scared people like me.
Emotion by Carly Rae Jepsen
What can I say. For me, this is the perfect fall-album. Run Away With Me, Emotion and Making The Most Of The Night are a few of my favorites.
It’s been a month since I posted my first ‘current obsessions’ post and I would like to make this a monthly thing. So here are my obsessions from the past few weeks!
Book Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I’ve read this book during my vacation in Greece and I absolutely loved it. The love story is about the redhead Eleanor and the popular kid Park, set in the year 1984. Although the story contains some very serious aspects, overall it’s very cute (look at the cover) and definitely a must-read!
Food Watermelon Gum
Although it’s not really ‘food’, I had to add this because it has been my obsession lately. The Trident Senses Watermelon Sunrise gum is sooooo delicious. The one disadvantage is the very strong scent; my whole bag smelled like watermelon after an hour.
Tv show Skins
Recently my brother bought a Netflix account and since then I’ve been having marathons almost every single day. The show I’ve been following is Skins, it’s about a group of teenagers in Bristol. That doesn’t sound very exciting but trust me: the show is really good. However I’m not sure if I’m going to watch the third season with a new cast, most of the time that sort of ruins the show.
Today I’m going to share the things that I’m currently obsessed with, like movie, food, etc. The main reason for this blog post is that I would like you to get to know me a little bit through these kind of personal posts. So let’s get started!
Thanks to Laura, aka Miss Fancy, I have been binge-watching Gossip Girl like crazy. One week ago we started with the pilot, and now I’m halfway through season 3. What can I say, as a small town girl I love seeing the drama and lies that are a part of the daily routine in the Upper East Side.
Sushi. I know I sound like the stereotype white girl, but it’s true. I love eating sushi as dinner with a group of friends or as lunch during a shopping trip. My favorite kinds are the Maki Avocado and Maki Cucumber, very simple but it tastes so good.
The band I’ve been obsessed with these last few weeks is The Summer Set. Their album Legendary is amazing and I love the, how surprising, ‘summer vibe’ in the songs. The songs that I can recommend are Boomerang and Lightning in a Bottle. Both very upbeat and happy songs, these are definitely featured in my Summer Playlist.
I haven’t been wearing a lot of make-up lately because I’m working a lot and I sadly don’t have a lot of time in the morning. But on days that I have more time, I like to wear the L’Oréal False Lash Telescopic mascara. I’m a big fan of the waterproof version because it really is waterproof, it stays on even after a swim with your head underwater.
I’m finishing this blog post with another recommendation. This weekend I saw the movie Jurassic World in the cinema with my brother and I absolutely loved it. Everything looks so real and Nick Robinson is cute, so that’s one reason why you should see the movie. But for real, it is a good movie and a huge improvement in terms of special effects.
